I was born and raised in the DFW area and am proud to call Dallas home. I hold a B.A. in communication studies from the University of Oklahoma and spent ten years building a successful career in the oil and gas industry. During this time, I noticed my heart being molded and drawn primarily toward building and nurturing meaningful relationships with others. I began to see clients at my church as a certified lay counselor, realizing quickly I had more to learn and give. Shortly thereafter, I began the journey toward completing a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Here, my passion for connecting and walking beside others was confirmed as I spent time seeing clients in both private practice and non-profit settings. I have experience seeing adolescents, adults, couples, and families who present issues such as single event and complex trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and disordered eating. I value client’s agency and autonomy, and desire to collaborate with clients in setting and achieving their therapeutic goals. I believe in the inner-strength and wisdom of my clients, and desire to cultivate their journey toward change, growth, and healing. My priority as a therapist is to provide an empathic, non-judgmental presence, allowing clients to bring their authentic selves into session. I utilize an inquiry-driven process to help clients understand what they desire to achieve on their therapeutic journey.
Outside of counseling, I am heavily involved in both my neighborhood family association and our home church, where my passion for meaningful relationships extends itself into the community. Above all else, I am dedicated to my family, as my husband and I are raising two young boys here in Dallas.
